To What extent will the world change

Everytime time I visit my grandpa(95 years old), he has the same question for me--"What do you work on?"--He then promptly replies--computers--then he smiles and says--- "I don’t understand the world of computers...What goes in computers and how these work?"

Its been 15 read years since I read a sentence (parphrased)--"The illiterates people of future will be those who don’t understand computers"... and this is the era we are living in..
You won’t deny how much has the world changed, the life a human being lives, the way a person spends time, the way he dresses. the way he communicates, the way he works, the kind of work he does, the way he travels and so on..
Before, there were no machines.Human created one,a simple one—wheel and advanced till he created planes. Then he created a machine to compensate his slow speed at calculations .Ada Lovlace considered as first programmer gave the world a new way--“software rogramme”which has now blended so much in our lives, that it absence would lead to eerie stillness in the world.
There has been constant and permanent change in all these spheres, revolutionising the every following generation.Since the odds of me living upto revolutioned world which is order of magnitude higher than today's is very less(or zero),let me speculate in the least to what it could be.

Transportation:Is driving getting harder? Probably generations down the line will have easy hand on it. Imagine this—You get on to private car/public transport and all you have to do is press the the button of your intended destination and move on, or to advance a little--- “just think about the destination”. Well , after all, every little thing will be advanced .A hassle free driving, no reckless drivers, no breakage of traffic rules .The first step towards this is already here

Communication:The verbal comminication will be replaced by thought process happening in the brain embedded with an electronic chips, rendering our tongue almost a vestigeal organ.with the passage of time, the same technique will supersede the rest of the ways of communication as well.Take an example of discussing with someone remotely. All one will have to do is think about the person with whom you wanna discuss .The person at the other end will receive some kindof signal and dialog can be started without a word being uttred. But don’t forget, not to multitask, after all its human brain .

Store of data: The data storage devices prevalent today will be supplanted by miniatured data storage device, again embedded in the brain. One could traverse the data, visualise the data, sort the data..right inside the brain. So is there a chance of your data being in wrong hands.? Don’t even think of it. Its safe and sound in your safe, keeping everyone from barging .The first step towards this has already been taken by Prof warwick

Media----So u live in world where the events happening worldwide reach to you in a flash of a moment---uh? Feels great. Now think about this now..
Every place has sensors/cameras or something else which I can’t think of now with receptors right in your body. You get the event to be seen live with zero delay. Its more like being physically there. The only reason you can miss the event is when you havn't subscribed the sensor of the area and that could perhaps bring the financial devide among the people among other reasons.

The movie “I Robot” starring willsmith byIssac Asimov looks partially exaggerated . Its sci-fi where robot kept as personal assistant facilitates life of a person, doing all the mundane work.Well, that’s possible. The special Robot in the movie named Sonny can dream and exhibit emotions. While the rest of the robots are bound by the three laws , the code or program or organs or whatever you call it of Sonny have evolved over time on their own and broken the barriers of the three laws which restrict the robots to “No-crime”.The movie features robots overpower humans. And this is what I feel will never happen.A robot cannot act smarter or ridicule a human. It’s a mchine after all.A human cannot be better creator than the one who created humans. At least not to this extent—two robots talking—first robot—“The human species are are not as smart as we are. Moreover, their life span is very less, not more than 100 years”—Second robot—“yeah! The species will be vanish ten years down the line”.:)

Halt and move on....

Blue canopy above us,
The green lays beneath,
The bright sun which makes our day,
The dark blanket which puts us to sleep,
Its been for ages in all, dont u forget.

The golden beams of moonlight,
The twinkling of stars,
The clouds that make us feel cool,
The showers of rain that soothe,
Its been for ages in all, dont u forget.

The gush of waters that flow,
The mountains that stand tall not to bow,
The animals there for us,
The birds that show,
Its been for ages in all, dont u forget.

The birth of baby with a blank face,
The seed that sprouts plants,
A human that completes a cycle,
A tree thats no more,
Its been for ages in all , dont u forget.

The beginning,the end remain same,
The life course tangles with time,
Never has nature changed the game,
Its humans who want the same,
It changes with time in all, so u forget.

The path that u follow,
The time u cant borrow,
The wangling mind thats overshadowed.
The space u leave for others.
Its changes with time in all, so u forget.

Did you just watch the movie "Jodha akbar"?

Did you just watch the movie "Jodha Akbar" and liked/disliked it OR it brushed your thoughts deeper. However u felt watching the movie,it amused me.I recently(before I watched the movie) visited both the places(forts) where the movie has been shot.Amir fort in jaipur and Agra fort in Agra are worth a visit. We had hired a guide in both the places.I got so engulfed in the history that i forgot we are just tourists, just like a child who gets in lost his bedtime stories. My mind carved a beautiful movie out of his explainations, the years spent by people in the fort were replayed in an hour.Weeks after we visited the places, my mind replayed the movie everytime I wanted to go back around 400 years. The movie I had in my mind came to life when I watched "Jodha Akbar".
Every scene of the movie made a lof of sense to me,not because the dresses or the sets used in the movie were good, but all the events that had taken place 400 years ago ,explained by the guide were live, though almost whole movie was a(may be) manipulated version of the real life which existed years and years ago.
One feels hurt(at least I),why wasn't every minute of people living then, captured. The world as a
whole changes so much with the passage of time. There are kings, queens, intellectuals etc etc who have lived but are just underneath the earth.
My mind pauses to answer , how long will I remembered after I am gone.

I kinda become a guide for my husband for a moment and explain him, these are the laptops and mobiles used by people in 2008, aound 500 years ago.:)
I am sure, the period we are living through will not make as beautiful history as Jodha,Akbar,
Shajahan etc etc have made.

I am back to blogging. And the reason for being back is I wanna write a book.
Its an indirect advice taken form here. Leme see how long I am gonna take to get good at it.
